Tim Jackson received his Master of Music degree from Northeast Missouri State, and did advanced studies at the Vandercook College of Music in Chicago, IL.   After his formal training, Tim made his way to the Big Easy to pursue his insatiable appetite for jazz and American roots music.  While in New Orleans, Tim’s unique talents on brass and upright bass lead him to appointments on the Natchez Steam Boat, Court of Two Sisters Jazz Brunch, and all the première night spots on Bourbon Street.  Culminating his New Orleans residence was an appointment to the World's Fair Big Band and a stint with world renowned clarinet artist Pete Fountain. On the Gulf Coast, he has performed with The Mobile Symphony, The Pensacola Symphony, and The Rosie O'Grady's Jazz Band.  Jackson is presently a member of the music faculty at Pensacola State College and shares his experience as a performer and entertainment consultant via Prime Time Entertainment and leads his own bands Mr. Big and the Rhythm Sisters, The Zars of Zydeco, and the New Orleans Ramblers.
